HEARTS, MINDS, AND HANDS FOR CHRIST
At First United Methodist Church we believe that educating the whole child is vital. Giving a child the opportunity to explore and understand the Bible, an opportunity to express their love for God in worship, and their love for God’s people in service.
At First United Methodist Church we believe that children are important. As the youngest members of our society and church, the education of their hearts and minds for Christ is essential. Your littlest ones are of great importance to us. We strive to keep our nursery clean, sanitary, and as free from germs as possible. All toys are sanitized after use, we only use disposable changing pads, and sheets are washed after each use. Along with making sure your baby is safe and well cared for, we will be praying for him/her each week by name.
Some of our regular activities include:
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Sunday school classes offer a time for in-depth study and Bible discussion in a kid friendly and age appropriate manner. Sunday school class is hands on and relational. Our curriculum this year is Dig In, the Bible in One Year.
KID’S CHURCH KIDS: Church is a time of lively praise and worship, large group activities, and a message that reinforces the Bible lesson taught in Sunday school that day.
WEDNESDAY NITE KIDS: On Wednesday nights children will participate in missions projects, hear from guest speakers, and talk about how to put their faith into action on a daily basis, as we celebrate being part of God’s kingdom.
Join us during the year for our community events:
December – Family Nativity
April – Easter Egg Hunt
October – Trunk or Treat
June – Vacation Bible School
June/July – Summer Kid’s Camp
