The Epiphany Class is a dynamic group of couples and singles primarily in their late 20s to 40s. Led by a teaching team with diverse teaching styles, the class format includes open discussion, featured speakers, lecture, and small group activities. They utilize a variety of topics ranging from Bible stories to current events.
Our lessons focus on the challenges we face every day and our struggles to understand our roles as Christians, Methodists, parents, children, and leaders. The relaxed atmosphere of the class encourages regular dialogue and discussion among members and teachers.
We meet in Room B-11 in the lower level of the sanctuary building during the Sunday school hour. Coffee and soft drinks are available during class time. We also have regular family/social events during the year, giving us the opportunity to get to know one another better. Childcare is generally offered through the church nursery for our social events.
What we're studying now:
January / February 2010: Our class is now studying the perceived conflict between the Biblical story of creation and modern evolution theory. We will consider the history of the conflict and the various attempts to reconcile faith and science.
