The Builders Class is composed of a group of Believers seeking to build our lives according to God's will.
The subject and format of our lessons vary considerably. Bible study is fundamental, but we also review books which may enhance our study of Christian beliefs, discuss the theological aspect of current events, and learn about other religions/beliefs. Class participation and discussion is encouraged and frequent. Our teachers vary also. Frequently one of our own talented members presents the lesson. At other times, other members from our church teach, and we often have people from outside our church to teach on specific topics.
Most of our members are "empty nesters", settled in careers or approaching or in retirement. Most are married couples, but we do have a few singles. Many of our members have been in the church for a long time, while others are fairly new. Our average weekly attendance is 35 to 40 with a total membership of about 70.
We celebrate each other's jobs and victories in life and provide support in times of grief and trial. This is very important since many of our members are in the "sandwich generation" with children and frequently grandchildren, plus aging parents.
Our class meets in Room B-14 in the Sanctuary Building basement (directly below the church office).
