Over 200 boxes are collected each year during Operation Christmas Child. Beginning in October each year, members of First United Methodist begin collecting and wrapping shoe boxes. These boxes are filled with various gifts for children ages 2 through 8 and are sent through a national organization, Samaritan's Purse to third world countries.  Over the last 5 years, we have collected over 1000 boxes.
