A bible study class studies with Dane Wagner, associate minister. First United Methodist Church, LaGrange, Georgia, is located at 401 Broad Street and occupies the property between Broad and Vernon streets. It is also in close proximity to LaGrange College, a related United Methodist institution. The church has maintained a downtown presence since it was formed in 1827 and occupies its fifth building on the original location. Currently a congregation of 1,721, it has provided a consistent spiritual presence and witness for almost 180 years.

While maintaining traditional and contemporary styles of worship and a commitment to serve an increasingly diverse membership, the church strives to engage persons in meaningful ministries and programs. A weekday pre-school called The Early Learning Center, an on-going offering of this church, is in its eighteenth year with 120 children participating.

Those of us who give time, talents, gifts and service through this church feel that anyone who is sincere about a commitment to Christ can find a fit here. We are invitational to first-time Christians and those who seek fellowship and involvement from other congregations and denominations. We welcome any who wish to belong to our membership.
