The 56 Degree Group The 56 Degree group at First United Methodist Church is more than young people having fun (although we try to do a lot of that!).  Rather we seek to make a difference in the lives of students in 5th and 6th grades.

Our ministry exists to get our youth excited about God.  We want them to form friendships, worship, serve, learn and simply hang out together.  Our intention is for them to connect with God and become motivated to make changes in their lives and this world.

 We invite all 5th and 6th graders to come experience the excitement of our ministry.  We study God's Word, rock out in worship, serve others often and have a great time doing it all! Join us for Sunday School, Sunday evening activities. or one of our many outings. No matter where you are in your relationship with Christ, the 56 Degree Group, has a place for you!

Weekly Activities:

Sunday School: 9:45 in the 56 Degree Lounge

Sunday snack supper: 5:30-6:00

Sunday evening activities, worship, and lessons: 6:00-7:15

WEW: 56 Degree Lounge opens at 4:00 for homework; 5:45-6:05 Bible Study in lounge

1st and 3rd Tuesday's of month 6th graders meet with Route 78 at Chick-fil-A for morning devotion before school, transporation to school is provided.
