The purpose of the Rembrance Columbarium at First United Methodist Church of LaGrange is to provide an appropriate consecrated and well-maintained place for the inurnment of cremated remains of church members and their families. The Columbarium will be a quiet place for rest, prayer, and meditation.

Each niche is 8 inches x 8 inches and accommodates the remains of one person.
The initial phase contains 133 niches, but it is designed for expansion in the future.
The Columbarium is located on the walkway wall between the Sanctuary and Children's Building, creating a quiet and serene setting.
The Columbarium includes a secured visiting area, with restricted access with gate.
The area is surrounded by a low wall with wrought-iron fencing. The pillars will feature gas lanterns that burn continuously.
The window above the Columbarium is the second of two from the old sanctuary. (The other is in the lobby of the Ministries Center.)
Each niche has a granite cover which will contain the name of the inurned person.
Niches are available to church members and their families.
The cost of a niche is $1,250, and there are no continuing or recurring costs.
Niches may be sold back to the church at any time.
